Seth Taylor has built a career around innovation in the life sciences. He is currently Managing General Partner of Vectur, a business development and marketing consultancy serving companies in the life sciences sector. Prior to Vectur, Seth founded Molecularware, Inc., a software company based in Cambridge, MA, that markets workflow data management

products to biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies. Molecularware was acquired by CalbaTech, Inc. in 2003. Before Molecularware, Seth focused on genomics and proteomics business development at Packard BioScience Company, a leading life sciences hardware and reagents vendor that was acquired by Perkin Elmer.
Seth holds a Ph.D. in molecular biology from The Johns Hopkins University and an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Sloan School of Management.

Founders

Peter Kolchinsky and Seth Taylor founded BiotechTuesday in February 2002 as monthly event where their friends from the biotech community could network. Over time, BiotechTuesday grew to include a website and special events generously supported by sponsors. In December 2003, Peter retired from co-hosting the events and Seth continued to host BiotechTuesdays together with a dedicated staff.

Peter evaluates public equities at RA Capital Associates, a biotech investment firm. He is the author of the Entrepreneur's Guide to a Biotech Startup, a business aid for entrepreneurial scientists available for download at www.evelexa.com. Evelexa is an online information source for biotech entrepreneurs and investors, which Peter launched in 2001. He received a Ph.D. in Virology in 2001 from Harvard University and a B.A. in Biology in 1997 from Cornell University.
