Founders

Peter Kolchinsky and Seth Taylor founded BiotechTuesday in February 2002 as monthly event where their friends from the biotech community could network. Over time, BiotechTuesday grew to include a website and special events generously supported by sponsors. In December 2003, Peter retired from co-hosting the events and Seth continued to host BiotechTuesdays together with a dedicated staff.

Peter evaluates public equities at RA Capital Associates, a biotech investment firm. He is the author of the Entrepreneur's Guide to a Biotech Startup, a business aid for entrepreneurial scientists available for download at www.evelexa.com. Evelexa is an online information source for biotech entrepreneurs and investors, which Peter launched in 2001. He received a Ph.D. in Virology in 2001 from Harvard University and a B.A. in Biology in 1997 from Cornell University.
